What a vibe! Excellent drinks! Great rooftop! Fantastic service! Everything works for this place! There isn't any view but it's a rooftop nonetheless! Go there for drinks and vibe food is limited!

Talk about a vibey spot! Our two seats were cozy and had an amazing view of downtown. I loved how our seats faced the view. No matter where you are seated in Zanzibar, it's a good seat. They have lounges for larger parties and bar seating too. We ordered a couple cocktails and the presentation of each one was pretty. Duke's Pearl was a solid choice. Service was also attentive. Reservations are highly recommended.

Zanzibar is a fantastic spot if you're looking for a laid-back yet lively atmosphere. I was here for drinks and they tasted great, with a good variety. The vibe was on point, perfect for hanging out with friends. The rooftop was a standout, especially with the heaters that kept us comfortable even in cooler weather. Highly recommend for a fun night out! Also great spot for photo ops :)

Located on top of one of the Marriotts in Downtown Austin Zanzibar is a tropical hideaway! This tiki themed bar is massive, with tons of seating options and a decent menu of food and drinks. We enjoyed everything we ordered off of the happy hour menu. We made a reservation ahead of time through open table. It wasn't too busy on the night we went; but I can see this being one of the hottest spots in town so plan accordingly.

Brought my mom here for an early birthday celebration and she loved the vibes of this rooftop!! Our server was super enthusiastic and friendly and recommended great options to us. The view from this place is gorgeous!! They have good happy hour deals as well. To reach Zanzibar you take this cool elevator that offers a view to the city as you rise. We enjoyed our experience:)

This was a fun place to go while I was visiting Austin in the intense humid summer heat. The elevator up the the rooftop bar sets the experience at the start - it's decorated in foliage. Up at the top at the bar, it's a little cooler than down below. There are plants all over to give it a tropical jungle feel. The views of the city are really nice. The space is big, with lots of tables and lounging areas. The menu is tiki cocktails with fruity flavors. The drinks are beautiful- colorful and with fresh edible flowers in them. My drink was nice- not super delicious, a little too strong of an alcohol flavor if I recall. The menu has some interesting things, but it is very limited for vegetarians and is an appetizer menu, not full meal style. I got chips and salsa- freshly made, weird having potato chips with salsa, not my favorite flavors. Overall a nice relaxing and fun experience.

This rooftop bar is stashed in one of the downtown hotels. It has a really cute island decor and the view of downtown is gorgeous. Everything we ordered was delicious. The food lived up to the hype of the place and the specialty drink did too. Loved it all!

My daughter and I were visiting Austin from California, and our friends brought us to Zanzibar so we could get a 360 view of Downtown Austin and also check out the lake. From the moment we stepped into the elevator from street level, I could tell we were going to walk in to some very nice paradise themed interior decor and food/drink offerings. Zanzibar did not disappoint! It was a muggy, hot day, and they had their ceiling fans on full blast. Aside from the bar seating, everything was set up in an outdoor patio style setting and flanked by lots of plants and greenery. We ordered an assortment of food: banh mi, cubano sandwich, crab tostado, and their pupu platter, which consisted of jerk wings, shrimp skewers** - these were my fave!, duck egg rolls, pineapple salsa, and chips. We also ordered a Feels Like Summer (#1 ordered alcoholic beverage), cider, and the Clean Wave (non-alcoholic). Feels Like Summer was surprisingly smoky and spicy. Not my favorite, but not bad either! I love a place that does mocktails and non-alcoholic alternatives, and Zanzibar hit the nail right on the head. I took off a star for service; they were really busy and some things were missed. Otherwise, great experience overall. Zanzibar encompasses the vibrant energy that is Austin. I would highly recommend anyone from out of town to drop in here!
